The Old Road
This campaign is based around the adventure series written by Wizards of the Coast for 3rd Edition Dungeons & Dragons from 2000 to 2002. Written when it was, one can anticipate some good old-school action, with plenty of traps and dirty tricks.
In addition to the style of adventure-writing, this adventure will hearken back to 3rd Edition in other ways. The pantheon used in the campaign, for instance, will be the pantheon published in the 3.5 Edition Player’s Handbook. The pantheon has been adapted to fit with the Pathfinder rules for domains and subdomains, and can be found here. Feel free to comment on the pantheon if you’ve got any changes you think should happen.
Beyond the pantheon, many of the sourcebooks from 3.0/3.5 are allowed for use in this campaign. Any sourcebook will have to be reviewed and approved before use, and level-adjustment races and templates are not permitted. The campaign begins at level 1, and each player character must start as a legal 1st level character. However, all classes, prestige classes, feats, magic items, and so on are fair game (with DM approval).
The party will be built in a character-building session, and details of the initial adventure will be given at this time. For those that want to prep early, ability scores are Pathfinder 25-point buy.
